Antony Bridge British, b. 1980

Artist in residence with the National Trust - self-taught painter who captures the beauty, energy and colour of the Malverns

Antony Bridge began painting at an early age and whilst studying at University, he had local solo shows at the age of just 20. He then was taken on by The Malverns Cowleigh Gallery (ran by the late Bill Nicholas) which led to successful shows and yearly displays at the renowned Malvern Theatres.

Antony works predominantly as a plein air painter, working in all weathers and enjoying the every changing light & seasons, often using only a very simplified palette of 3-5 colours in a pochade box. His aim is to capture the sense of the place, its energy and colour all in one sitting in the open air.
