Our American Spider Adapters allow you to use a British duplex fitting lampshade on a harp or finial fitting US lamp base. Simply unscrew the finial and fit the spider adapter. The 11cm ring of the duplex fitting lampshade will then sit on top of the legs of the spider adapter, as shown in the photos below. The decorative finial will still be visible above the top of the lampshade.
We have 7 different sizes of American Spider Adapter (fixed 10mm, 2”, 2.5”, 3”, 3.5”, 4” and 5”). We will send with your order the correct size for your duplex lampshade, free of charge.
