Antony Bridge British, b. 1980

Artist in residence with the National Trust - self-taught painter who captures the beauty, energy and colour of the Malverns

Growing up in Malvern in an area of outstanding beauty, Antony began to understand the peace, power and solitude of the landscape and has been inspired by it ever since. Antony doesn’t just paint so called good light scenes like many artists do, he just gets out there in all weathers, rainy, grey, bright, misty and finds a location inspiring to paint, sets up either his french easel or pochade box and gets to work with his oil paints.

Antony is delighted to have become the National Trust's Croome official artist in residence and each year will capture this very essence of the English view that Capability Brown has given us all to savour in and enjoy.
