Peter van Breda Zimbawean, b. 1957

One of the UK's leading en plein-air painters

Peter van Breda was born in Zimbabwe and has lived in Sussex for the last 20 years. He is one of the UK's leading en plein-air painters. His enthusiasm for painting is driven by his excitement at capturing the light, mood and atmosphere of a scene on canvas. Peter's distinctive landscapes of London, Paris and Venice often portray light reflecting on water and the bridges that cross the River Thames and the Seine often feature in his paintings.

Peter van Breda's work has been exhibited extensively, including with the Royal Society of British Artists. His work is widely collected and hangs worldwide in private & corporate collections.
