Monochrome adaptation of the Chinese painting, Birds and Butterflies, printed on a wooden board at the Royal Oberkampf Manufactory in Jouy-en-Josas, circa 1775. It is a perfect illustration of the chinoiserie style in the second half of the 18th century.
