A precursor of brocade, the extraordinary lampas weave has existed since the 10th century and requires a complex loom set up with multiple warps and wefts to create the three-dimensional effect the fabric is known for. Traditional lampas are usually extremely formal textiles, woven of silk and often enriched with metallic threads.

Orsini has the splendour of a classic lampas, but expresses it in a subtle manner, reflecting a contemporary sensibility. Designed on a grand scale with a vertical repeat of 125 cm, it features a vivid tree-of-life design on an elegant strie ground. Perfect for curtains, bed hangings and upholstery in the most splendid rooms, it is woven of 100% linen and has a soft cool hand.
