The Batavian Lamp is modelled on a treasured candlestick that dates back to circa 1720 – and which Max seldom lets leave his house. It’s the original’s red lacquer finish – worn, knocked and rubbed to shine over more than 300 years of ownership – that is most compelling, so developing a finish that does it justice has been a labour of love.
Hand-turned tulipwood column standing on a beech base.
Hand-painted and distressed to emulate the antique original.
Wired with a braided flex and fitted with an in-line rocker switch.
Available with either a standard or 5A plug.
Can be wired for the US, including UL listing, for an additional fee.
