In Thoughts of You was published in 2013 as signed limited edition print of 250 copies, along with 40 artist's proofs. Each copy is signed and numbered by Vettriano and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. This edition sold out quickly and prints are rarely available on the secondary market.

The room depicted in the painting is Vettriano’s studio in the Georgian Townhouse in Edinburgh in which he lived and worked in the 1990s.
