Large hanging or ceremonial veil in sewn silk strips originating from Djerba, South Tunisia and dating from the first half of the 20th century. Wide strips of shaped silk brocaded on a loom with high polychromy, alternating with ecru cotton voile with embossed stripes. Black cotton fringes at both ends. A few small rust spots on the cotton, fluidity and structural fragility but no major flaws. Good general condition of colour and conservation.
