Classically trained artist painting representational portraits and narrative works
Along with solo, joint and group shows in London, Ireland and the United States, and countless commissions and his French home and studio featured in various interior design publications.
The delicate and realistic artistic creations of Alex Russell Flint maintain elements of renaissance and historic paintings. The brush stroke highlights form in a very retrospective and intricate manner, yet Flint offers a slightly contemporized version of what is artistically beautiful. His paintings demonstrate still life, portraiture and landscape in an almost photographic manner. They are, more often than not, visually enticing, contributing textural elements and leaving the eye to linger over the use of highlights and tone demonstrated within even small patches of his paintings.
