Vermicule Negatif Chataigne
Negative variation of the vermiculated Le Grand Corail print. This motif of delicate vegetal arabesques in all-over is frequently found on the backgrounds of 18th century woodblock prints. It fills the gaps left on the fabric by the floral motifs placed or the arborescent stems, to enrich the design.
